Naša Banka's success is linked to understanding people

Our bank Banja Luka held a press conference yesterday, attended by Dejan Vuklišević, President of the Bank's Management Board, and Srđan Šuput, Director of the Banking Agency of the Republic of Srpska. The reason for organizing the press conference, which was attended by a significant number of media outlets, was to summarize the large and very demanding projects implemented in the past period, which resulted in notable results. Along with strategically significant and complex organizational changes, process reengineering, constant infrastructure development in the field of information technology and migration to the new Core Banking System (CBS) as the biggest challenge so far, the Bank also achieved the highest annual profit growth in percentage terms on the banking market of the Republic of Srpska.

"The success of every bank is measured by the satisfaction of its clients, in this regard, we would like to emphasize that the profit achieved as of September 30th was 14 percent higher than in 2022. We can say that a small bank like ours is becoming large, because this is the fastest growth in percentage terms on the banking market of the Republika Srpska," said the President of the Management Board of Naša banka, Dejan Vuklišević.

He explained that the implementation of CBS is a very challenging, complex and long-term process. "With its successful completion, we have gained the ability to safely and efficiently manage the most sensitive processes such as client account management, transactions, but also risk management," said Vuklišević, adding that by switching to the new CBS, they have created optimal conditions for improving efficiency, reducing risks and improving the experience of users of their services and products.

"As the inheritor of a banking tradition in our region of more than 130 years, Naša banka, with over 30 branches and more than 180 employees, became a member of the Galens Invest group," Vuklišević pointed out.

"Trading in shares led to the consolidation of capital and a change in ownership, and thus the company 'Galens Invest Finance' Zvornik became the majority owner of Naša banka. The change in ownership definitely strengthened the Bank's position on the market," said Vuklišević.

"In the past few years, the bank has carried out three or four recapitalizations, which strengthened the bank's capital, it makes a profit and keeps all the profit in the capital. The owner's goal is not to pay out profits, but to strengthen his capital and the bank's position," said Srđan Šuput, director of the Republika Srpska Banking Agency.

He adds that Naša banka is the first bank in the region to start issuing ESG bonds on the domestic stock exchange.

Srđan Suput, director of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska, said that this bank has been through a lot and that in this very turbulent year it made serious strides in the market.
