Based on business needs, Naša banka ad Banja Luka is announcing a COMPETITION for employment in the position:

Manager of Problematic Debt Collection (m/f)

Place of work: Banja Luka

Job description and key responsibilities:

Organizing the process of collecting problematic receivables, with special emphasis on early collection, in order to recognize increased credit risk more quickly and efficiently, implement timely restructuring of clients, and shorten the time until their financial recovery or initiation of court collection.
Organization, management and coordination of the collection of problematic receivables at the Bank's headquarters in Banja Luka. Organizes, directs and controls the work of employees in collection tasks, and assigns tasks and priorities to employees.
Collection strategy: Defining, implementing and improving strategies and processes for collecting risky and disputed receivables in accordance with the regulations of the Banking Agency of the Republic of Srpska (ABRS) and the Bank's internal regulations.
Establishes and continuously improves an early payment model for retail and corporate customers, including treatment entry and exit criteria, client segments, priorities, and contact channels.
Portfolio Analysis: Continuous monitoring and analysis of the portfolio of non-performing loans (NPL), risk assessment and proposing measures to minimize the Bank's credit losses. Manages placements in early collection, monitors delays and indicators of deterioration in repayment regularity, monitors due obligations on a daily basis, migrations by days of delay, payment promises, repeated delays and other indicators of deterioration in placement quality.
Ensures timely contact with clients via telephone, SMS messages, written communication and field visits, in accordance with internal regulations and policies.

Negotiation: Conducting negotiations with clients (legal entities and individuals) to find optimal solutions for the collection of disputed receivables. Assesses collectability and guides the selection of an appropriate exposure resolution model, including settlement agreement, rescheduling, refinancing and restructuring.
Cooperation: close cooperation with other organizational units in the Bank and external associates (lawyers, bailiffs and competent courts) in the collection procedures of disputed claims.
Reporting: Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for employees within the department and regularly reporting to relevant committees and the Bank's Management on the status and results of collection.

Conditions that the candidate must meet:

Education: Higher professional education (VSS) – graduate in law or graduate in economics (VII level of professional education or equivalent according to the Bologna system of studies).
Work experience: A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the banking sector in risk management or debt collection, of which a minimum of 1 year in management positions.
Professional knowledge: Excellent knowledge of legal regulations (Law on Banks of the Republic of Serbia, Law on Enforcement Procedure, Law on Obligations, Law on Bankruptcy) and by-laws of the Bank of Serbia.
Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to make decisions in specific and stressful situations.
IT literacy: Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite, with special emphasis on Excel).
Other: Active knowledge of English and possession of a category B driver's license.
